Research Methodology Training, 27 April – 1 May, 2022.

Legal Officers and other staffs from the Bhutan National Legal Institute is attending five-day “Training on Research Methodology” from 27 April – 1 May 2022, organized by the Institute of management Studies Limited (IMS), Serbithang. By the end of the training participants will be able to:

  • Define research and explain its importance
  • Compare and contrast different knowledge claims and paradigm and their roles in research
  • Define and compare types of research approaches: quantitative, qualitative, mixed
  • Compare and contrast different types of research designs
  • Carryout literature review
  • Identify primary and secondary sources of data
  • Discuss and select research tools appropriate to given research design
  • Define data and types of data and their sources in different research approaches
  • Explain procedures for data collection and analysis
  • Value and practice the research ethics
  • Identify basic dos and don’ts in academic writing
  • Explain the process of research report writing and publication

 

The training is funded by Austrian Development Agency (ADA) through Bhutan National Legal Institute. The training concludes on 01 May 2022.
