Commemorating the 67th Royal Birth Anniversary of His Majesty the Fourth Druk Gyalpo Jigme Singye Wangchuck, the Constitution, and the GNH Day on 11 November 2022, the Bhutan National Legal Institute launched the 18th Volume of the Bhutan Law Review. The Journal intends to create a pool of academic legal resources to uphold the organizational culture of academic knowledge creation and sharing. It aspires to combine knowledge and information to enhance the ability to create and share legal information and knowledge for a professional and informed legal service environment. Through this Journal, the Bhutan National Legal Institute hopes to encourage our writers and readers by creating a forum of professional legal academia for a just society, based on rule of law, information, and service. In line with national aspirations and objectives, the Journal adopted ‘transformation’ as a central theme to reflect national aspirations and secure contemporary relevance.
