Legal Officers and other staffs from the Bhutan National Legal Institute is attending five-day “Training on Research Methodology” from 27 April – 1 May 2022, organized by the Institute of management Studies Limited (IMS), Serbithang. By the end of the training participants will be able to:
- Define research and explain its importance
- Compare and contrast different knowledge claims and paradigm and their roles in research
- Define and compare types of research approaches: quantitative, qualitative, mixed
- Compare and contrast different types of research designs
- Carryout literature review
- Identify primary and secondary sources of data
- Discuss and select research tools appropriate to given research design
- Define data and types of data and their sources in different research approaches
- Explain procedures for data collection and analysis
- Value and practice the research ethics
- Identify basic dos and don’ts in academic writing
- Explain the process of research report writing and publication
The training is funded by Austrian Development Agency (ADA) through Bhutan National Legal Institute. The training concludes on 01 May 2022.
