A two-day virtual Judicial Induction and Orientation Program (JIOP 2021) concluded successfully today. The opening ceremony was graced by the Honโble President, Her Royal Highness Princess Sonam Dechan Wangchuck. The Program was attended by seven Drangpons from Dzongkhags, six Justices including the Chief Justice from the High Court, one Justice from the Supreme Court, Registrar General from the Supreme Court and Registrar General from the High Court.
The main objective of this orientation program is to enhance judicial competence and โease the pathโ of newly appointed Judges and Justices for a smooth transition to judicial office through the provision of education and training. This program focuses on developing the particular knowledge, skills and attitudes required for effective judging. The theme for the program is โFriendly Advice from the senior colleaguesโ. This JIOP is a part of the Instituteโs Continuing Legal Education and Professional Development of the judicial personnel.
